Mark Drennen
Board Member, Chairman

 | Mark
serves as Senior Vice President of Cornerstone Government Affairs. He
leads the firms operations in the State of Louisiana, managing the Baton Rouge
Office and providing state government relations and business consulting services
to a broad and diverse set of clients. Cornerstone is headquartered in
Washington, DC and has offices in six states.
Mark’s
experience includes serving eight years as the State Commissioner of
Administration, appointed by Governor Mike Foster. As chief operating officer
for the State, he was responsible for preparing and implementing the State’s
operating and capital budgets as well as overseeing the day to day operations
of state government, including the health insurance program for state employees,
the IT operations and contracts. Mark has also served as the President
and CEO of Greater New Orleans Inc, a regional economic development
organization. Earlier in his career Mark was the President and CEO of the
private research group PAR, which specializes in analyzing government
operations and proposing best practice solutions to problems. Prior to
PAR, Mark served as the Legislative Fiscal Officer where he advised the
Louisiana House and Senate members on financial issues.
Mark
is active in the community and serves on various boards, including the Julius
Freyhan Foundation, Manship Theatre, Shaw Center for the Arts, Baton Rouge Area
Foundation, Visit BR, West Feliciana Tourist Commission and the Foundation for Historical Louisiana. Mark
resides near Saint Francisville with his wife Marion, an artist. They have four
children and four grandchildren.
