Hollis Milton
Board Member


Hollis Milton is the Superintendent of the highly rated West Feliciana Parish School District.  He began as Superintendent in June 2010.  The district letter grade improved from a "B” to an "A” that year, and has continued at the top level for four consecutive years.  Superintendent Milton is the current President of the Louisiana Association of School Superintendents, having previously held the offices of Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President.  Superintendent Milton is the current Chair of the influential Parish Superintendent’s Advisory Council.

Hollis is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and holds a Master of Educational Leadership from LSU.  Previously, he has been recognized as a two-time Teacher of the Year in East Baton Rouge Parish and a Principal of the Year in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Hollis serves on numerous boards for local, state, and national organizations including:  St. Francisville Rotary, the West Feliciana Concerned Citizen Group, the American Institutes of Research, the School Leadership Center of New Orleans, the Louisiana Math and Science Academy, and the HMH Education Leadership Council.  Hollis has served on the Chief Council of State School Officers Network for Transforming Educator Preparation, the St. Francisville United Methodist Church’s Board of Directors, the West Feliciana Economic Development Board, Leadership Louisiana sponsored by the Council for a Better Louisiana, and the North Baton Rouge Leadership Academy.

Hollis currently lives in West Feliciana with his wife, Nikki, and their two children, Anna and Eli.
